Cat. #00166148: KENNETH MACDONALD

Extremely uncommon vintage inscribed blue ballpoint pen signature on a 3x5-inch tan card, acquired in-person by inveterate collectors Irene and Rose Gellar in the 1950s. In good condition, with an easily removed or concealed dedication. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the autograph here is not actually included. With his cool, debonair demeanor and ominous speaking voice, Kenneth MacDonald was the ideal villain in westerns and serials of the 1930s, sometimes compared to Boris Karloff. In the late 1940s, he transitioned to comedy flicks and features, appearing so memorably alongside Gus Schilling and Richard Lane, and, later, The Three Stooges. He never flinched when plastered with pies, fruit and other projectiles! This is just the second example of his autograph we have ever encountered.
